We want your stay at Pheasants Haunt – Luxury Coastal Accommodation to feel relaxed, comfortable and easy from the moment you arrive. As your hosts, we live just two doors away, so we're close at hand should you need any help, have a question or simply want a recommendation for a great local restaurant, beach or day out.

At the same time, we completely respect your privacy. Pheasants Haunt is yours to enjoy during your stay, and we're equally happy to leave you to relax, unwind and make yourselves at home. Our aim is simple, to help you have a wonderful and memorable stay in this very special part of South Devon.

Swimming Pool

Our outdoor swimming pool is heated from 30 April to 30 September. Outside of this period, the pool may still be available for use without heating, but please let us know in advance as additional cleaning charges may apply. Pool heating outside of the main season may also be available at an additional cost and must be arranged with us before booking.

Garden & Pool Maintenance

To keep the outdoor areas and swimming pool in the best possible condition for our guests, regular maintenance visits take place during stays. Our pool maintenance contractor attends as required (once per week during pool opening season) to clean and maintain the swimming pool, while our gardener visits for approximately two hours each week, usually on either a Tuesday or Thursday morning from around 9am. Where possible, we will let guests know the day before a maintenance visit is due. Occasionally, however, timings may need to change at short notice and advance notice may not always be possible. Both contractors will aim to carry out their work with as little disruption as possible so that you can continue to enjoy your stay.

Sleeping Arrangements

Pheasants Haunt has four bedrooms and sleeps up to 10 guests. Two of the beds are single cabin-style beds and are particularly suited to children. A travel cot is also available for infants.

Bathrooms

There are three bathrooms for guests’ convenience, upstairs, downstairs and poolside.

Dogs Welcome

We’re delighted to welcome dogs at Pheasants Haunt. With wonderful countryside and coastal walks nearby, it’s a fantastic location for a holiday with your four-legged family members.

The Steam Railway

The historic Dart Valley Steam Railway runs adjacent to the garden. During operating times, you can watch the wonderful steam trains pass by, even from the swimming pool! It’s one of the things that makes Pheasants Haunt so unique and is particularly popular with children and railway enthusiasts.

Location

Broadsands Beach is around a 10-minute walk across the fields, giving you easy access to the coast, local fishing spots, water sports and nearby places to eat. Pheasants Haunt is also ideally placed for exploring the English Riviera, Dartmouth, Totnes and the wider South Devon coast.

Residential Setting

Pheasants Haunt is situated in a quiet residential area. We kindly ask guests to be considerate of our neighbours, particularly during the evening and early morning.
